Why Is Stated Saturated Fat So Much More Common Than Its Counterpart?
Why Is Stated Saturated Fat So Much More Common Than Its Counterpart? Why is saturated fat not the bad guy? Why does it seem to be so much more widespread than the opposite of saturated fats? Is it possible that your body can't actually recognize saturated fat as such? If you would like to learn how your body works when it comes to lipids, read on!Good fats are those that your body should eat in the first place. That means those things that are found in cheese, fish, and butter. These types of fat are often referred to as monounsaturated or polyunsaturated fats. In general, they are healthier than saturated fats and are also considered by many health experts to be healthy. So, what is it about saturated fats that is so bad?Basically, saturated fats are not considered 'good' fats because they contain too many calories and should be avoided. The human body has the ability to differentiate between good and bad fats, so it doesn't make sense for it to react to saturated fats in the same w ay as it reacts to polyunsaturated fats.It may seem counterintuitive that there are benefits to saturated fats. After all, how can a piece of meat to be a good fat and a saturated fat at the same time? When it comes to fat chemistry, the answer lies in the fact that when fats are broken down, one of the things that happens is that their molecules get longer, leading to the creation of a 'carbon double bond'.This carbon double bond makes it possible for the fat to combine with oxygen, allowing the mixture to be oxidized and denatured. In this process, the 'bad' saturated fats get removed and replaced with the 'good' fat, which will make them more healthful. One thing to consider with saturated fats is that they contain a small amount of natural omega-3 fatty acids. These compounds have been shown to improve the health of those who consume them, thus making them a healthy alternative. Additionally, they are also believed to have some beneficial effects on heart health.Still, the unheal thy aspect of saturated fats is the fact that they are incredibly bad for your body. Therefore, if you want to protect yourself from having high cholesterol, you need to replace those bad fats with the better ones that are found in healthy sources of food.
